Q: Is it okay to use our ebike on National Roads?
A: NO. The Land Transportation Office (LTO) released a list of National Roads and Major Highways that ebikes are not allowed to passthrough. We highly encourage ebike users to strictly adhere to these protocols for safe riding. Different Local Government Units (LGUs) also have their own rules and regulations, we suggest that you check on this with your respective LGUs before considering getting your own ebike.
Q: Do I need License and an Official Receipt (OR) or Certificate of Registration (CR) to drive an ebike?
A: NO. The Land Transportation Office (LTO) only requires license and OR/CR for ebikes running a speed of 50kph and above. The current line-up of HATASU ebikes only range 25-35kph.
Q: How much is the charging cost of a HATASU ebike?
A: You can charge our ebikes for as low as P20 per full charge. To understand how this came to be, you may refer to the computations below:
Example: You own a HATASU HERO which is powered by a 48V 32A Lead-Acid Battery. To find out how it costs per full charge, all you have to do is multiply 48 volts with 32 amphere and then divide it with 100 kilowatt per hour (standard rate for ebikes). You’ll get 15.36, this the cost per single full charge of your ebike.
48 x 32 = 1,536
1,536 ÷ 100 = P15.36 Cost Per Single Full Charge
